What is LSVT LOUD?
LSVT LOUD is technique used for with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions which can improve voice and speech. The technique is backed up with a considerable evidence base, particularly for Parkinson’s disease. LSVT LOUD aims to support individuals with improving their voice loudness with consequent positive effects in other areas including articulation, speech intelligibility, intonation, facial expression, quality of life and life participation.
LSVT LOUD Treatment Programme
- Initial Speech and Language Therapy Assessment
- 16 sessions (4 consecutive days a week for 4 weeks)
- Sessions are individual and for 1 hour
- Daily homework practice and carryover exercises

Please note that the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists recommends that all Voice patients are seen by an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist within 6 months prior to initiating treatment.
